Restaurant Staff Meeting Agenda Template

A weekly staff meeting that fits in 30 minutes: wins, last week’s action items, the numbers, guest feedback, menu changes, the week ahead, one training topic, open floor and a recap of who does what by when.

The CSV opens in Excel, or in Google Sheets with File, Import. Formulas calculate as soon as you enter numbers.

What is on the template

  • Time: each item has a time box so the meeting ends when it should.
  • Agenda item and what to cover: the same structure every week, so people come prepared.
  • Who leads: GM, chef, FOH manager or rotating.
  • Action items: who, what, by when and status, reviewed at the start of the next meeting.

How to use it

  1. Share it a day ahead. Send the agenda the day before so people can bring numbers and questions.
  2. Keep to the clock. When a topic runs over, note it, name who will resolve it and move on.
  3. End with owners and dates. Every action item gets a name and a deadline.
  4. Start with last week. Open the next meeting by reviewing the action items: done, in progress or blocked.

FAQ

What should be on a restaurant staff meeting agenda?

Wins, last week’s action items, the numbers (sales, labor, food cost, waste), guest feedback, menu and operations changes, the week ahead, one training topic, open floor and a recap of action items.

How long should a restaurant staff meeting be?

About 30 minutes for a weekly meeting and 5 to 10 minutes for a pre-shift lineup. Longer meetings lose people unless there is a specific reason.

How often should restaurants hold staff meetings?

A pre-shift lineup every shift, a weekly team or department meeting and a monthly all-staff meeting works for most restaurants.

Can I edit the template?

Yes. Download the CSV and open it in Excel or Google Sheets, or print the blank action item sheet on this page.
